This was an interesting group of recipes for me, mostly modified from various vegan blogs that I follow, and using lots of vegan fake meats from May-Wah.
Vegan sushi pictures are always beautiful.
I love Udon noodles, though sometimes they can be hard to find without some fish sauce in the package. I like Myojo Udon the best, but you have to get the mushroom flavored one otherwise they all come with some sort of packet in it with meat powder of some fashion.
I know, I know, it’s been too long. Sorry folks, was working lots and actually had a 10 day long vacation in the last month. I am happy to report that there are lots of great vegan places in New Orleans, and even Orlando’s Harry Potter World is willing to adjust some of their meals at the Three Broomsticks to accommodate veganism. But now back to the recipes I made this last month that I need to share with you all. First, my first attempt at vegan banh mi.
Just pictures for today’s blog. This recipe can be found in the book Isa Does It if you want the recipe. I added a few more vegetables than what the recipes called for.
This meal had a lot of prep work but ended up working out fairly well, and was something relatively unique compared to my usual meals.
Made an oldie but a goodie, plus a new side dish to share here!
This meal was quite carb heavy was my only complaint. It was all super tasty, but even the Veganaut took one look and exclaimed “Breaded bread?!?! That is so you.”
This was a super easy lunch time recipe.
So many of my meals are rich and full of fake meat, cheese substitutes, or something making them rich and savory. I like it that way. But sometimes it is nice to have a break from that and have a light and refreshing meals. This was one of those.
