Vegan Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings

Yup, you heard right. This was the most unique and weird recipe I have ever tried, modified from some versions online. A lot of it involves using ingredients that are accidentally vegan.


  • 2 cans pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 2 green apples, peels and cut in to slices
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 bottle mountain dew

Take the crescent rolls and separate in to their 8 separate pieces. Place an apple slice in each and roll up until covered.

Spray a casserole dish with non stick spray and put the rolls in one by one. IMG_7284

Melt the margarine in a bowl and then mix in the sugar and cinnamon. Use this to coat the tops of the rolls.

Then dump in about 1/2-1/3 of the mountain dew around the sides, soaking the dumplings.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Use a slotted spoon to remove and serve with ice cream or whipped cream!
