Made an oldie but a goodie, plus a new side dish to share here!
This meal was quite carb heavy was my only complaint. It was all super tasty, but even the Veganaut took one look and exclaimed “Breaded bread?!?! That is so you.”
For the main dish I made a dish I had previously made found here called french toast samosas.
For the new side dish I made curried cauliflower bites!
- 1 bag frozen grilled cauliflower from TJs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 2 Tbsp curry powder
- vegetable oil
Next mix the flour, baking powder, and spices in a large bowl. Then add water until you have a batter like consistency (I used about 3-4 cups).
Next put the oil in a skillet and heat on medium heat.
Dip the cauliflower in and dump clusters of them in the frying pan. Cook all sides until browned.
Serve this and the main dish with whatever dipping sauce you prefer. I used a pre made vegan curry sauce. Chutney would probably work too but I don’t like chutney so stuck with curry sauce.
